6C Cartoons 2016-17

Unique Artwork With A Powerful Message

'Kofi Annan, then Secretary General of the United Nations, and Plantu, editorial cartoonist at the newspaper Le Monde, gathered, on October 16, 2006 at the United Nations headquarters in New York, twelve of the world’s greatest press cartoonists around a conference entitled “Unlearning Intolerance”. This symposium gave birth to Cartooning for Peace project.'http://www.cartooningforpeace.org/en/

The 'published designs' from students are a celebration of the Political Cartooning unit of study we have been working on in art. The concept behind the shirts is to explore ways students can take their finished work (from all subjects) to a wider audience. Profits from sales will go to a charity of the students choice. If you would like an adult size please email james.smith@ecolint.ch

Products are made from sustainable materials in an ethically accredited, wind powered factory and use technology and design to show that ecology and economics can work together. The company that makes them is values based. That makes them fundamentally different to businesses trying to do a bit of sustainability: They're built on it.http://rapanuiclothing.com/about/
